STRAIT OF HORMUZ — UK Maritime Trade Operations issued Advisory 103-26 on August 2 reporting an incident approximately 20 nautical miles northeast of Khasab, Oman.
At 8:37 p.m. UTC on August 2 the master (Captain) of a tanker reported hearing an explosion in close proximity of the vessel.
The vessel and crew were reported safe. Authorities are investigating. Vessels were advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO.

The Master of a tanker reports hearing an explosion in close proximity of the vessel. The vessel and crew are all reported as safe. Authorities are investigating. SAUDI ARABIA - The Joint Forces of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces brought down a drone south of Mecca at 6:50 p.m. Saudi time on September 15 (3:50 p.m. UTC), before the aircraft entered prohibited airspace over the city.
