NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued October 9 at 11:36PM CDT until October 10 at 1:15AM CDT by NWS Mobile AL

At 1136 PM CDT, broadcast media reported flooding in Destin and Fort
Walton Beach. Between 8 and 12 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding
impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Flash
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Broadcast media reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Wright, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Destin, Eglin AFB,
Valparaiso, Mary Esther, Lake Lorraine, Ocean City, Shalimar, Cinco
Bayou, Longwood, Eglin Village, Postil, Seminole and Wynnehaven
Beach.
