For the Upper Gila...including Gila River at Calva, Gila River at
Duncan, Gila River near Solomon, Gila River At Kelvin, San Carlos
Reservoir at Coolidge Dam...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.

* WHERE...Gila River near Gila River near Solomon.

* WHEN...From this evening to late Wednesday night.

* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Several homes and businesses flooded,
mostly on north sides of Solomon, Safford, and Thatcher. Bridges
may be overtopped.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 PM MST Tuesday the stage was 8.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 19.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 23.5 feet late tonight. It will then
fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
- Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
- A 23.5 feet crest exceeds the previous historical high crest of
20.8 feet on 10/02/1983.
