The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Kane County in southern Utah...
* Until 400 AM MDT Tuesday.
* At 808 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicates heavy rainfall producing
flash flooding in the Paria River and Wahweap Creek. Heaviest
rainfall has been observed in the upper headwaters of the Paria
River, where between 1 and 1.25 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, and slickrock areas.
