The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Lincoln County in central New Mexico...
* Until 930 PM MDT.
* At 720 PM MDT, emergency management reported flash flooding
continuing along the Rio Bonito from Lincoln to Hondo. US Highway
380 remains closed from mile marker 89 to 107. Flash flooding is
already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Hondo and Tinnie.
This includes Highway 380 between Mile Markers 100 and 107.
An evacuation shelter has been set up at Hondo Valley Public Schools
at 111 Don Pablo Lane.
