River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Hannibal.

* WHEN...From late Thursday night to late Saturday night and rising.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side
(inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:15 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 15.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.0 feet
early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Friday
evening.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
