NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued September 21 at 4:44PM EDT until September 21 at 6:00PM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 444 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heaviest rain had
moved out of the warned area; however, between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen since 2:30 PM in the hardest hit areas. Excessive runoff
from this heavy rainfall will continue to cause flash flooding in low
lying areas.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, as well as other
poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Elkhorn City, Cedarville and Belcher.
