The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
The island of Kauai in Kauai County
* Until 200 PM HST.
* At 1111 AM HST, significant rises in water level have occurred
along the South Fork of the Wailua River over the past hour due to
heavy rain upstream. While heavy rain is diminishing, additional
runoff is likely and could lead to flooding issues farther
downstream near the river mouth in Wailua. This warning replaces
the warning previously in effect for the north central portion of
Kauai including the Hanalei area.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
SOURCE...Gauges reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Lihue, Kapaa, Princeville, Kilauea, North Fork Wailua Trails,
Wailua Homesteads, Hanalei, Wailua, Moloaa, Wainiha, Anahola and
