The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
Wayne County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until 430 PM EDT.

* At 347 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing a multiple
tornadoes were located along a line extending from near West
Bloomfield to Dixboro to near Saline, moving southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

* These dangerous storms will be near...
Livonia, Southfield, Romulus, Canton, and Belleville around 355 PM
EDT.
Dearborn around 400 PM EDT.
Taylor and Greenfield Village around 405 PM EDT.
Flat Rock and Detroit around 410 PM EDT.
Downtown Detroit, Wyandotte, and Trenton around 415 PM EDT.
Belle Isle around 420 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by these tornadic storms include Melvindale,
Gibraltar, New Boston, Rockwood, Harper Woods, Westland, Grosse
Pointe Shores, Ecorse, Grosse Pointe Woods, and Woodhaven.

This includes the following highways...
I-75 between mile markers 27 and 58.
I-275 between mile markers 8 and 29.
I-94 between mile markers 188 and 225.
I-96 between mile markers 168 and 192.
M-10 between mile markers 1 and 12.
M-14 between mile markers 16 and 21.
M-39 between mile markers 6 and 10.
