NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 29 at 7:23PM MDT until August 29 at 10:45PM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT
At 723 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated earlier thunderstorms produced
heavy rain across primarily the far upper reaches of the drainage
leading into Buckskin Gulch. Water is likely flowing downstream
through Lick Wash and into Buckskin Gulch. Up to 0.75 inches of rain
have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, slot
canyons, and normally dry washes.

areas along the drainage leading into Buckskin Gulch from Bryce
Canyon National Park, through Lick Wash, Deer Springs Wash, Riggs
Creek, and into Buckskin Gulch and The Wave.
