The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Kane County in southern Utah...

* Until 1045 PM MDT Saturday.

* At 412 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across portions of the warned area, primarily over upper
reaches of the Paria River and over the Paria River near the
confluence with Cottonwood Creek. Water will flow downstream
through Lower Hackberry Canyon, Bull Valley Gorge, and the Lower
Paria River Canyon. Up to 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks, streams, slot
canyons, and normally dry washes.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
areas within the Paria River drainage, including Bull Valley Gorge,
Herm Pollock Slot Canyon, Lower Hackberry Canyon, and Lower Paria
River Canyon.
