NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 27 at 3:45PM EDT until August 27 at 5:15PM EDT by NWS Columbia SC

At 345 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing
heavy rain causing flood waters and debris to cover Gateway Road near
Grovetown, GA. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch is possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Martinez, Fort Gordon, Belvedere,
Village Plaza Shopping Center, Augusta Mall, Daniel Field, South
Augusta, Riverwood, Augusta National Golf Club, Summerville,
Glendale, Midtown, Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Westmont, Blanchard
Park and Windy Ridge Estates.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 5.
Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 182 and 201. Interstate
520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 8.
