NWS / NOAA weather: Flood Warning issued August 20 at 6:59PM EDT until August 20 at 11:00PM EDT by NWS Charleston WV

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...North Central Washington County in southeastern Ohio...

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Several roads
are closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess
runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 649 PM EDT, the automated gauge on Duck Creek at Macksburg was
just above its minor flood stage of 13 feet and slowly rising.
Bankfull is 10 feet. Farther downstream on Duck Creek, the
automated gauge at Whipple was just over 5 feet and starting to
rise. It may reach bankfull and even minor flood stage tonight.
Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned
area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell this morning.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but any additional rainfall this
evening will be less than half an inch.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marietta, Macksburg, Lower Salem and Devola.
