NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 19 at 7:12PM MST until August 19 at 9:15PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ

At 712 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Tucson, Sahuarita, Drexel Heights, Vail, Corona De Tucson, East
Sahuarita, San Xavier Community, Summit, Tucson International
Airport and San Xavier Mission.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 19 between mile markers 42 and 58. Route 83 between mile
markers 47 and 48...and between mile markers 52 and 58.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Country Club Rd at Franco Wash, Houghton Rd from I-10 & Sahuarita Rd,
Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, Sahuarita Rd west of Wilmot Rd,
Andrada Rd east of Wentworth Rd, Mission Rd from Valencia Rd to San
Xavier Rd, Old Vail COnnection Rd at Franco Wash and Calle Rinconada
Rd from Andrada Rd to Sahuarita Rd.

Flash flooding is occurring within the warned area. Areas around
Summit east toward Corona De Tucson are at greatest risk.
