...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...

White River at Petersburg.

White River at Edwardsport.

White River at Newberry.

White River at Elliston.

White River at Hazleton.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...

White River near Centerton.

White River below Eagle Valley Power Plant.

White River at Spencer.

.Flooding continues along the White River at points from Centerton
on south. The crest on the White is at Spencer late Wednesday
morning and should reach Elliston late overnight Thursday and
Newberry by midday Friday.

Additional rainfall of around 1.5 inches in upper portions of the
White basin, as well as far lower portions of the White, was
included in these forecasts. This additional rainfall should bring
an additional bump to action stage along the White from Muncie to
Ravenswood over the next few days. With locally higher amounts
possible and the potential for the location of the axis of heaviest
rain to change, those with interests along the White River should
pay close attention to forecast updates and stay weather aware.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Edwardsport.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday, August 26.

* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Water is at critical levels for makeshift
levees. Most of bottomlands flood. Old Vincennes road and State
Road 358 between Plainville and Edwardsport are impassable by
several feet. High water surrounds river cabins. This type of
flood occurs on average about once a year.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM EDT Wednesday /6:00 AM CDT Wednesday/ the stage
was 16.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:00 AM EDT Wednesday /6:00 AM CDT Wednesday/ was
16.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.1
feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage early Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
