Wabash River at Riverton.

Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.

Wabash River at Vincennes.

.Several inches of rainfall over the past week have brought moderate
flooding to the Wabash River. The crest on the Wabash is past
Independence and approaching Covington on Monday afternoon. The
crest is forecast to reach Riverton this weekend. Additional
rainfall later this week could lengthen the amount of time spent in
flood.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday, August 26.

* IMPACTS...At 24.5 feet, Much of the formerly protected area behind
the Honey Creek levee located in southern Vigo County is flooded.
Flooding closes most local roads and affects several residences.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM EDT Monday /10:30 AM CDT Monday/ the stage was
22.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM EDT Monday /10:30 AM CDT Monday/ was 22.2
feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 24.7
feet Thursday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
Tuesday, August 25.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.
