The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 730 AM HST.

* At 436 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over Oahu with
additional bands of heavy rain expected to move in over the next
few hours. Rain was falling at a rate of up to 2 inches per hour.
Local streams such as Manoa, Pukele and Kalihi are showing a quick
rise and flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Honolulu, Waipio, Pearl City, Mililani, Waikele, Aiea, Wahiawa,
Waipahu, Wheeler Field, Kunia, Halawa and Waiahole.
