NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued August 16 at 10:35AM HST until August 16 at 12:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI

At 1035 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated moderate rain falling over
Oahu. Rain rates have diminished to around 0.5 inches per hour and
water levels on area streams have begun to fall. Additional waves of
moderate to locally heavy rain can be expected for the next several
hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Waikane, Waiahole, Mililani, Punaluu, Kaaawa, Wahiawa, Kahaluu,
Pearl City, Wheeler Field, Ahuimanu and Hauula.
