The National Weather Service in El Paso Tx/Santa Teresa has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Otero County in south central New Mexico...

* Until 630 PM MDT.

* At 331 PM MDT, Slow moving thunderstorms are lined up along the
west slopes of the Sacramento Mountains, at the head of several
canyons, including La Luz, Fresnal, Haynes, and Laborcita. Some of
these areas received significant rainfall yesterday and are
saturated. Expect localized flash flooding followed by enhanced
flows in these canyons, possibly reaching low water crossings in
the lower elevations below this evening.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, roads, low
water crossings, well as other poor drainage and low-
lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Burro Flats, High Rolls, Mountain Park, La Luz, Laborcita Canyon,
and Karr Canyon.
