NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 29 at 6:22PM MDT until July 29 at 6:45PM MDT by NWS Salt Lake City UT
At 622 PM MDT, Emery County emergency management reported flash
flooding in Chute Canyon west of Goblin Valley State Park. Strong
thunderstorms which produced intense rainfall over primarily Chute
and Crack Canyons have since dissipated, but between 0.25 and 0.75
inches of rain fell over a very short amount of time. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of slot canyons and
normally dry washes.

Goblin Valley west to Little Wildhorse Canyon. The heaviest
rainfall has occurred over Chute and Crack canyons.
