At 636 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 9 miles northeast of Downtown Asheville, or near B.R.
Parkway-East Asheville To Craggy Gardens, moving southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

B.R. Parkway-East Asheville To Craggy Gardens around 640 PM EDT.
Black Mountain, Swannanoa, and Warren Wilson College around 650 PM
EDT.
