NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 28 at 1:21PM MDT until July 28 at 4:00PM MDT by NWS Pueblo CO
At 121 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain over the Middle Aspen Acres Burn Scar. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of
rain has fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 1
hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in
the warned area.
At 109 pm, Colorado State Patrol reported high water and debris over
Highway 165 near Scout Road north of San Isabel.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the North Saint Charles, South Creek, Squirrel Creek,
Middle Creek and North Creek Drainages. The debris flow can consist
of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Middle Aspen Acres Burn
Scar.
