NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued July 27 at 1:21PM CDT until July 27 at 1:45PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL

At 120 PM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located over
Hobart, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Merrillville, Hobart, Lake Station, and New Chicago around 125 PM
CDT.
