NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued July 27 at 1:02PM CDT until July 27 at 1:45PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL

At 102 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located over
Ford Heights, or near Chicago Heights, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

These dangerous storms will be near...
Schererville, Lansing, Highland, Munster, Steger, Griffith, Dyer,
St. John, Sauk Village, and Lynwood around 105 PM CDT.
Merrillville around 110 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Crown Point, Cedar Lake, Winfield and Lakes of the Four Seasons.
