NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 27 at 4:20AM EDT until July 27 at 6:45AM EDT by NWS Wakefield VA

At 420 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain in western Henrico County. Up to 2 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Richmond, University Of Richmond, Downtown Richmond, Virginia
Commonwealth University, Virginia Union University, Bon Air,
Tuckahoe, Lakeside, Laurel, Glen Allen, East Highland Park,
Bensley, Wyndham, Bellwood, Roslyn Hills, Dumbarton, Greendale,
Solomons Store, Chamberlayne and Montrose.
