NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 24 at 6:09PM MST until July 24 at 7:30PM MST by NWS Tucson AZ
At 609 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms produced heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have
fallen. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, streets and
underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying
areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
San Manuel and Redington.
This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
River Rd at San Pedro River.
Heavy rain on the backside of the Catalina Mountains may cause dry
washes to run that flow to the San Pedro River. Be alert for rapidly
changing conditions and expect flows.
