NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 24 at 5:40PM EDT until July 24 at 10:30PM EDT by NWS Peachtree City GA

At 540 PM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain
in Flooding was reported near Temple at the intersection of Cown Rd
and Taylors Gin Rd. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Douglasville, Buchanan, Villa Rica, Bremen, Temple, Tallapoosa,
Mount Zion, Waco, Abilene, Bowdon Junction, Lake Val-Do-Mar, New
Georgia, Winston and Brownsville.
