NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 24 at 1:14PM MDT until July 24 at 3:00PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
At 114 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the Hermits Peak and Calf
Canyon Burn Scar. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the
warned area, mainly between El Porvenir and Sapello. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding in and around the Hermits Peak and Calf
Canyon Burn Scar.
