At 927 AM EDT, Doppler radar was estimating around 6 inches of rain
had fallen this morning across the Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness.
This had increased the risk for debris flows in this area. Flooding
of low-lying areas is likely along the many creeks and streams which
feed the Cheoah River, which includes Deep Creek.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

drainage and low-lying areas.
