* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Colorado, including the
following county, Mesa.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 502 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Indian Wash, Leach Creek and Colorado River.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.3 to 0.8 inches are possible
in the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Grand Junction, Fruitvale, Clifton and Orchard Mesa.
