forecast.

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Nueces River at Cotulla.

* WHEN...From this evening until further notice.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 14.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this evening to
23.0 feet early Wednesday morning. It will then fall to 22.1 feet
and begin rising again Thursday morning. It will rise to 23.2
feet Friday morning. It will then fall again but remain above
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 23.2
feet on 06/16/1981.
