* Until 800 PM MDT.
* At 210 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain over the Cottonwood Burn Scar in Beaver County. Between
0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Beaver River and eventually downstream into the
Grove area within Beaver. This storm is also beginning to build into
the South Fork of North Creek. The debris flow can consist of rock,
mud, vegetation and other loose materials. The debris flow has not
yet reached the upper camera in Beaver Canyon. Once the debris flow
reaches the upper camera at the diversion dam expect the flow to
reach the Grove area 1 to 1.5 hours later.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood
Burn Scar in Beaver County.
