The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
the Colorado River between river miles 139 and 144 in Coconino
County.

* Until 815 PM MST.

* At 522 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain along the Colorado River between river miles 139 and
144. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets and
underpasses.

This includes the Colorado River between river miles 139 and 144.

This includes the following recreation areas and campgrounds...
Fishtail Camp Site, Keyhole Camp Site, Above Kanab Camp Site, Above
Olo Camp Site and Olo Camp Site.

This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Colorado River, Specter Chasm, Kanab Creek, Jumpup Canyon, Fossil
Canyon, 140- Mile Canyon, Fishtail Canyon, Matkatamiba Canyon and
Olo Canyon.
