The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 815 PM MST.

* At 512 PM MST, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms
producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5
inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Santa Cruz River, washes, and tributaries have risen and will
continue to flow down stream in the warn area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Nogales, Tubac, Rio Rico, Nogales International Airport,
Tumacacori, Amado and Kino Springs.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 19 between mile markers 1 and 26. Route 82 between mile
markers 1 and 9.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Nogales Wash at Doe St Bridge and Pendleton Dr at Sonoita Creek.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Josephine Canyon, Sonoita Creek, Santa Cruz River and Potrero
Creek.
