The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
The Cottonwood burn scar in...
Eastern Beaver County in southern Utah...

* Until 600 PM MDT.

* At 320 PM MDT, Heavy rain from earlier thunderstorms has produced
a muddy flash flood with some woody debris that is moving down the
Beaver River and will be reaching eastern portions of Beaver City
near the Grove creek area imminently. Between 0.4 and 0.7 inches
of rain fell over portions of the burn scar. Flash flooding is
already occurring.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow
moving through the Beaver River. The debris flow can consist of
rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding in and around the Cottonwood
Burn Scar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around
the Cottonwood Burn Scar...specifically in the Beaver
River downstream through the Grove Area in Beaver City
