NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 13 at 7:28PM CDT until July 13 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Midland/Odessa TX

At 728 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.25 to 0.5 inches in 1 hour.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Colorado City, Lake Colorado City, Lake Colorado City State Park,
Champion Creek Reservoir and Westbrook.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
South Fork Champion Creek, Colorado River, Lone Wolf Creek, Morgan
Creek, North Fork Champion Creek, Graze Creek, Granger Creek,
Wildhorse Creek, Jayhawk Creek, Beals Creek, Camp Creek and Hasting
Creek.
