Flash Flood Warning: Albuquerque Area Through 6:45 PM MDT
ALBUQUERQUE, NM - The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for portions of north-central New Mexico on July 11 at 4:33 PM MDT, in effect until 6:45 PM MDT.
Current Conditions
At 4:33 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen in the region.
Threat Assessment
Heavy rain from thunderstorms poses an immediate flash flood risk. Persons in flood-prone areas should move to higher ground immediately.
Recommended Actions
- Move to higher ground immediately if in a flood-prone area.
- Do not cross flooded roadways or bridges; water depth is often unknown and current velocity increases with rainfall intensity.
- Monitor conditions through the warning period ending at 6:45 PM MDT.
