NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 6 at 6:50PM EDT until July 6 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Pittsburgh PA
At 650 PM EDT, the public reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain
across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
The expected rainfall rate is 2 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional
rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Public reported flooded roadways near Gilfoyle and
Marienville.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Clarion, Marienville, Brockway, Sigel, Fisher, Leeper, Fryburg,
Cook Forest State Park, Clarington and Clear Creek State Park.
