NWS / NOAA weather: Flood Warning issued July 4 at 5:04PM CDT until July 4 at 11:00PM CDT by NWS Chicago IL

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Illinois,
including portions of De Kalb, La Salle, Lee, Kane.

* WHEN...Until 1100 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Roads and streets may
be flooded. Slow moving or standing water may continue.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 502 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated up to 3.5 inches of rainfall occurred due to
earlier thunderstorms. Although heavy rainfall has ended,
some creeks may continue to rise over the next several hours
and standing water may be slow to recede.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
DeKalb, Sandwich, Sheridan, Shabbona, Lake Holiday, Hinckley,
Somonauk, Earlville, Waterman, Leland, Paw Paw, Millington
and Lee.
- This includes the following streams and their tributaries...
Indian Creek, Somonauk Creek, South Branch Kishwaukee River
