NWS / NOAA weather: Flash Flood Warning issued July 4 at 7:38AM EDT until July 4 at 9:00AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

At 738 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that the heaviest rain has
exited the area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in
the hardest hit areas since 6 AM. Excessive runoff will continue to
cause flash flooding in low lying areas.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
London, Atlanta, Mcwhorter, Maplesville and Greenmount.
