The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern DuPage County in northeastern Illinois...
Northwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 435 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing rainfall rates of up to 3 inches per hour
across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts up to 3 inches
or more are possible in the warned area. Significant flash
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Significant flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset, significant flooding of creeks, streams,
drainage ditches, low-lying areas, and poor drainage
areas. Widespread street and underpass flooding.
Possible flooding of structures. Possible flooding of
highways.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Aurora, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Romeoville,
Woodridge, Lemont, Burr Ridge, Westmont, Lisle, Darien,
Warrenville, Willowbrook and Willow Springs.
