The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
Kendall County in northeastern Illinois...
* Until 900 PM CDT Saturday.
* At 255 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy torrential rainfall moving across
the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have already fallen in
portions of southwest Kane County according to radar estimates.
The expected rainfall rate is up to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional
rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly as the
intense rainfall rates expand eastward.

ditches, streets, underpasses, low-lying areas, and
