A Typhoon Watch has now been issued for Guam, Rota, Tinian, Saipan
and the surrounding coastal waters.
As of 3 PM ChST, Guam is is Condition of Readiness 3.
.AREAS AFFECTED...
This local statement provides information and recommended actions
for people in Guam and the Northern Marianas.
.WATCHES/WARNINGS...
A Typhoon Watch is in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan.
A Typhoon Watch means that Typhoon conditions are possible within
the next 48 hours somewhere within the specified areas.
All persons in the watch areas should review their preparedness
plan and begin to take actions to prepare for conditions as
indicated by your local forecast and additional details, below,
for your island.
A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Guam and the Northern
Marianas. Please listen closely for any Flood Warnings that might
be in effect for your area.

information about additional hazards.
.STORM INFORMATION...
At 5 PM ChST...the center of Typhoon Bavi (09W) was located near
latitude 12.9N...longitude 154.0E. This was about 620 miles east
of Guam. Storm motion was west, 275 degrees, at 15 mph. Storm
intensity was 105 mph.
.SITUATION OVERVIEW...
A Typhoon Watch has now been issued. A more detailed statement
