NWS / NOAA weather: Tornado Warning issued July 2 at 5:03PM CDT until July 2 at 5:30PM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD

At 502 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Forestburg, or 20 miles north of Mitchell, moving
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
western Sanborn County.
