excessive rainfall is occurring.

* WHAT...Stream flooding on La Crosse River and tributaries caused by
excessive rainfall is ongoing.

* WHERE...Southeastern La Crosse County in west central Wisconsin...
West Central Monroe County in west central Wisconsin...

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM CDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1115 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
La Crosse, Sparta, Onalaska, West Salem, Bangor, French Island,
Medary, Leon, Rockland, The Coulee Experimental Forest, Lake
Neshonoc, Veterans Memorial Park, Barre Mills, Nathan Hill, The
Valley View Mall and North Side Of La Crosse.
