Guanajuato, Gto., February 22, 2026 - The incidents recorded in Guanajuato as a result of the operations of the Federal Government in the neighboring state of Jalisco are under control. All highways are free and unaffected; there is no risk to travel on state or federal roads, which remain under surveillance by state and federal forces.

In the municipalities, surveillance operations continue with the support of the State Public Security Forces (FSPE), the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and municipal police. The deployment throughout the state allowed for the detention of several individuals in various municipalities, who were placed at the disposal of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE). It was also possible to prevent the burning of several vehicles in various points of the state.
